Why This Role Stands Out:

This is an opportunity to step into a high-visibility Tax Manager role within a respected financial institution, where your work directly supports a complex, multi-entity organization.

You’ll inherit a well-established function while bringing fresh perspective and leadership.

The environment is collaborative, community-focused, and built for long-term growth—with clear pathways into broader leadership roles across the organization. In fact, senior leadership has progressed through similar roles, demonstrating the upward mobility available here.

What makes this opportunity compelling:

  • High exposure to executive leadership (CFO and CEO interaction)

  • Opportunity to lead and evolve a critical tax function

  • Large, multi-entity environment with complex tax challenges

  • Strong internal mobility across departments and leadership tracks

  • Community-driven culture with long-tenured employees

What You’ll Do:

Own the Tax Function
Manage and oversee tax compliance across a complex organization, including multi-state filings, sales/use tax, and property tax.

Handle Technical Complexity
Navigate sophisticated areas such as leasing structures, executive compensation, and specialized financing transactions.

Ensure Compliance & Reporting
Support regulatory and financial reporting requirements, including elements tied to compliance and corporate reporting standards.

Drive Tax Strategy & Research
Research and resolve complex tax issues, providing clear, actionable guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Collaborate Across the Business
Partner with legal, compliance, payroll, and finance teams to ensure alignment and accuracy across all tax-related matters.

Lead and Develop
Oversee direct reports and contribute to the development of talent within the tax and accounting function.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)

  • CPA designation (required)

  • Experience in a financial institution or large, multi-entity organization strongly preferred

  • Strong technical knowledge across:

    • Corporate tax compliance

    • Multi-state sales/use tax

    • Property tax

    • Regulatory/financial reporting considerations

  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets

  • Proven ability to research and resolve complex tax issues

Who Thrives Here:

  • Tax professionals who enjoy solving complex, non-routine challenges

  • Leaders who take ownership and operate with independence and accountability

  • Individuals who want exposure to executive-level decision-making

  • Professionals who value both technical depth and long-term career growth

  • People who bring a “can-do” mindset and take pride in their work and impact

What Sets You Apart:

  • Ability to break down complex tax issues into clear business insights

  • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills

  • Leadership presence with a willingness to step in and lead change

  • Curiosity and drive to continuously improve processes and outcomes

Bottom Line:

This is a unique opportunity for a Tax Manager to step into a broad, strategic role within a growing, multi-entity organization—combining technical challenge, leadership exposure, and long-term career potential.

If you’re looking to expand your impact beyond compliance and help shape tax strategy at a higher level, this is the opportunity to do it.
