Position: Tax Manager

Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000

About the Role
As a Tax Manager, you will operate at the intersection of technical excellence and client leadership. You'll work directly with successful privately-held organizations and their owners to shape strategic tax planning, minimize surprises, and drive forward-looking tax strategies that support long-term business success.

What You'll Do
- Manage tax advisory services and tax compliance for pass-through entities across a variety of for-profit industries, including Construction, Manufacturing, Retail, and Professional Services
- Serve as a reviewer of tax work, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality deliverables
- Conduct tax research and provide written technical guidance with a strong understanding of the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations
- Develop, build, and independently manage client relationships, including responsibility for billing and collections
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining service excellence
- Lead, mentor, develop, and train professional tax staff; provide clear direction and constructive feedback
- Participate in firm initiatives and committees focused on client service, staff development, and operational improvement
- Represent the Client positively within the professional and business community through professionalism, integrity, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach
Workload Expectations
- Typical workload averages approximately 60 hours per week during tax-heavy periods
- Audit-related responsibilities generally average closer to 50 hours per week
- The Client is intentional about managing workloads responsibly and avoiding unnecessary burnout
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of relevant experience in public accounting, including technical tax consulting and research
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Required)
- Active CPA license required
- Experience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax, Engagement, and Document software a plus
