    Job Description

    This is a role for a high-performing tax professional ready to evolve from traditional compliance work into an elite strategic advisor. You'll design and implement advanced tax reduction strategies, working directly with clients to understand their financial landscape, project the impact of key decisions, and guide them through implementation of strategies that save them millions.

    Within 2 months, you'll join client meetings and actively assist with tax reduction strategies. Twice a month, you'll train with industry leaders and take part in a 3-day company retreat.

    Key performance objectives
    Learn advanced tax advisory (first 90 days): Transition from a compliance-focused role to a strategic advisor. Take ownership of a portfolio of 5-7 high-value clients, participate in strategy meetings, and independently develop tax projection models identifying a minimum of $250,000 in potential annual savings per client, with a 90%+ client satisfaction score.
    Drive measurable client tax savings (by month 6): Lead implementation of foundational and advanced tax reduction strategies, resulting in documented average client tax savings of 15-20% versus prior tax position, while collaborating with the compliance team to ensure elections are filed correctly and clients remain compliant.
    Develop & coach team members (first year): Dedicate ~10% of time to coaching junior staff on client engagements and technical tax strategies. Lead at least two internal training sessions on a specialized tax topic.

    Responsibilities
    Coach clients on tax deduction strategies
    Assist clients with implementing and maintaining foundational tax reduction strategies while staying compliant
    Advise clients on advanced tax reduction strategies, investments, and decisions
    Project tax implications of strategies, events, and key decisions
    Collaborate with the tax compliance team on reporting and tax elections
    Coach staff on client engagements
    Maintain proactive, regular client communication
    Occasional assistance with tax return review

    What we're looking for
    CPA or EA license
    Minimum of 7 years' experience in tax
    Based within reach of Atlanta
    Hungry, gritty, disciplined, and growth-minded — genuinely enjoys tax work
    Follows instructions, takes feedback, and meets deadlines without excuses
