CPA firm located in west El Paso is looking for an experienced Tax Preparer.
Job Summary:
Performs the day-to-day bookkeeping functions for numerous clients; records transactions within established systems and procedures; preparation of individual and business tax returns; reconciles accounts and record adjusting journal entries.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Verify and enter detail of transactions as they occur in computerized accounting system for numerous clients on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
Prepare monthly financial statements accurately and timely, using QuickBooks
Prepare adjusting journal entries as needed on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
Prepare Compiled financial statements, on cash-basis or tax- basis, based on clients accounting method.
Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested.
Prepare bank reconciliations monthly.
Prepare payroll tax returns, form 1099s and sales tax returns.
Prepare individual and business tax returns
Learn the new tax laws and filing practices
At least 2 - 3 years experience preparing taxes
Working hours are 9 to 6 Mon to Fri but overtime is possible during busy times.
