Kforce's client, a growing organization in the Saint Louis area, is seeking a Tax Reporting Manager to support key income tax accounting and reporting functions. This position plays an integral role in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions, financial reporting support, and tax compliance coordination. The role also partners closely with finance, accounting, and tax teams on process enhancements, transactional support, and regulatory reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical tax expertise, analytical capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including current and deferred tax calculations, uncertain tax positions, and effective tax rate analyses
  • Assist with the tax accounting and reporting implications related to acquisitions, restructurings, and other business transactions, including evaluation of associated tax risks and adjustments
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on tax considerations related to operational and strategic business changes
  • Contribute to the preparation of various tax-related deliverables, including domestic and international filings, provision-to-return reconciliations, variance analyses, and management reporting
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulatory guidance and assist in assessing the impact on financial reporting and tax processes
  • Support internal control compliance initiatives, including documentation and testing related to SOX requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Advanced tax degree preferred
  • CPA designation strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, including public company income tax provision experience within industry or public accounting
  • Strong understanding of income tax accounting and reporting under ASC 740
  • Experience utilizing tax provision and compliance software platforms, including OneSource
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex tax and accounting matters and document conclusions appropriately
  • Sound professional judgment with the ability to identify and escalate risks when necessary
  • Highly organized with strong project management and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Commitment to accuracy, internal controls, and corporate governance standards

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
