Job Details

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and business clients
• Support preparation of Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S
• Gather and organize client financial and tax documentation
• Review tax documents for accuracy and completeness before filing
• Conduct basic tax research and help resolve routine tax issues
• Communicate directly with clients to collect missing information
• Assist senior tax professionals on planning and compliance projects
• Maintain organized, accurate client files and workpapers
• Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally
• Stay current on relevant tax law and filing requirement changes
• Support the broader accounting team through and beyond tax season

Qualifications:

• CPA or EA
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 2+ year of public accounting or tax preparation experience preferred
• Experience preparing individual tax returns required or strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and common accounting software
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Preferred:

• Exposure to business returns such as 1065, 1120, or 1120S
• Background in individual, partnership, S corp, or corporate tax preparation
• Experience with small to midsize business clients
• Strong interest in growing within a public accounting career path
