Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review individual, partnership, corporate, and S-corporation tax returns
Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide proactive tax planning strategies for clients
Manage multiple tax engagements while ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met
Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for business owners and individual clients
Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication
Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship
Train and develop junior team members and interns
Conduct tax research and resolve complex tax matters
Recommend practical solutions for compliance and planning issues
Utilize tax preparation and research software to efficiently deliver services
Stay current on tax legislation, regulatory updates, and industry developments
Collaborate with firm leadership on client strategy, business development, and process improvements
Deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services with a client-first mindset
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA license or active pursuit of CPA preferred
4+ years of public accounting tax experience
Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
Strong understanding of tax compliance, tax planning, and tax research
Experience working with closely held businesses, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals preferred
Ability to manage multiple engagements in a deadline-driven environment
Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills
Experience mentoring, coaching, or supervising staff
Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities
Proficiency with professional tax preparation and research software
Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and building long-term client relationships
