How you will contribute As a Tax Notice Specialist on our team, you will provide support to our clients of payroll taxes that we remit on their behalf. Your in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local processes and regulations will provide world class service to our clients. You will bring value every day with having a voice to enhance processes and avoid discrepancies with tax agencies. You will be able to make a difference with timely and accurate resolution of tax agency notices.

Proficiency with common practices on resolving tax discrepancies from beginning to end. Maintain timely and accurate resolution of tax agency notices. Familiarity of federal, state, and local tax return and payment submission. Strategize with peers and leadership on root cause of notices and processing filings. Anticipate problems, plan task, execute the solution by ensuring our customers are receiving world class service. Responsible to maintain clients tax setup of third-party, account numbers, unemployment rates, disbursement methods and withholding frequencies. Validate and evaluate request from clients and internal partners to assign workflow/volume based on request.

Qualifications

2+ years of payroll tax payment or filing experience. Experience with multi-state and multi-client payroll taxes. Payroll Service Bureau (SBO) experience makes you a strong prospect. Your expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc). An ability to communicate with your team, agencies, and clients for notice resolution. Previous payroll technology skills, including advanced MS Excel, payroll software systems (Evolution Payroll software preferred, but not required), or even better payroll tax software systems. A High School Diploma or GED. Advanced education in accounting, business administration or other relevant coursework a plus.
