Compensation

$235,000 – $365,000+

A nationally respected law firm is seeking a Tax & Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, fiduciaries, family offices, and closely held businesses on sophisticated estate planning, wealth transfer, trust administration, and tax matters.

Ideal Background

3–6 years of trusts & estates and tax experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, business owners, fiduciaries, and charitable organizations

• Experience drafting sophisticated wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, dynasty trusts, GRATs, SLATs, ILITs, charitable trusts, and other advanced estate planning vehicles

• Experience advising clients on estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer (GST), and income tax planning

• Experience assisting with estate and trust administration, probate matters, fiduciary representation, and post-death planning

• Experience advising owners of closely held businesses on succession planning, ownership transitions, and tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies

• Experience preparing or reviewing estate planning documents, fiduciary agreements, and tax-related filings

• Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and client counseling skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated client matters while maintaining significant client interaction

LL.M. in Taxation is a plus, but not required

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
