What You'll Do as a Taxi Mechanic:

Vehicle Diagnostics & Repair

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns across a diverse fleet of taxi vehicles.
• Perform brake, steering, suspension, and engine repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, charging systems, and vehicle performance issues.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and resolve problems.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Preventative Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, inspections, tire services, fluid replacements, and tune-ups.
• Conduct detailed vehicle inspections to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.
• Recommend preventative maintenance solutions that improve reliability and extend vehicle lifespan.
• Help minimize downtime through proactive fleet maintenance.

Fleet Readiness & Support

• Ensure vehicles meet company standards for safety, cleanliness, and operational performance.
• Prioritize repairs and maintenance based on fleet needs and service demands.
• Work closely with maintenance leadership and operations teams to maximize vehicle availability.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, repair orders, and service documentation.
• Assist with emergency repairs and troubleshooting as needed.

Safety & Shop Operations

• Follow all safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop environment.
• Safely operate vehicle lifts, shop equipment, diagnostic machines, and power tools.
• Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer recommendations and company standards.
• Identify and address potential safety concerns before they impact operations.

What We're Looking for as a Taxi Mechanic:

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Fleet Mechanic, Taxi Mechanic, Diesel Technician, or Maintenance Technician.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and preventative maintenance.
• Experience working on passenger vehicles, fleet vehicles, taxis, vans, or light-duty commercial vehicles.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance-related issues.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for work orders and maintenance tracking.
• Valid driver's license required.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
