Minimum Qualifications

Key responsibilities include overseeing fiscal operations, developing procedures for financial activities, accounting for revenues and disbursements, and generating detailed fiscal reports. Additionally, candidates should coordinate accounting activities with other government units and implement specialized accounting systems. They must apply their knowledge of accounting principles and government procedures effectively. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred. The accountant works under the general supervision of a superior who evaluates adherence to professional standards and program effectiveness. Completed work is subject to regular audits.
