    Job Title: Teacher Aide (2026-27 school year)                                
    Status: Non-Exempt                                             
    Job Type: Part-time 9 Mo/yr.
    Education: Minimum B.A.                                    
    Schedule: Monday to Friday (Max. 29 hours)
    Location: K-12 Building                               
    Report to: Elementary Principal
                                                                                               
    Background Check: Acceptable BCI and FBI report.
     
    Middletown Christian Schools is looking for a teacher aide who embraces our vision, mission, and core values. As a ministry of Grace Baptist Church, we are committed to providing a Christ-centered education grounded in a biblical worldview. A person serving in this role should be one who feels called to the ministry of Christian school education, have a personal relationship with God, maintain regular personal devotions and Bible study, and follow the leadership standards of Grace Baptist Church. 
    The Teacher Aide supports classroom teachers through student supervision, classroom assistance, and administrative tasks while helping create a positive, Christ-centered learning environment.
     
    Spiritual Maturity:  
      
    1.     Publicly profess a faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior  
    2.     Actively engage in the life and ministry of a local church as a member 
    3.     Pursue a life of spiritual development through regular study of scripture and prayer  
    4.     Demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit as a byproduct of a growing faith  
    5.     Believe and support the school’s statement of faith (statement of Grace Baptist Church)  
    6.     Agree to abide by the Lifestyle Statement  
     
     
    Position Responsibilities:
    1. Assist teachers with classroom instruction by reinforcing lessons and providing support to students.
    2. Provide supervision and assistance during classroom activities, restroom breaks, recess, and transitions.
    3. Support classroom organization through tasks such as making copies, preparing materials, filing, and other administrative duties.
    4. Assist with student dismissal procedures, including carline supervision and student safety.
    5. Maintain a positive, respectful, and caring environment that reflects the mission and values of the school.
    6. Perform other duties as assigned to support classroom and school operations.
     

    Qualifications:

    • A commitment to supporting the mission, values, and Christian beliefs of the school.
    • Ability to work effectively with students and staff in a team environment.
    • Strong communication, organization, and dependability skills.
    • Previous experience working with children preferred.
     
    Additional working conditions may include:
    1. Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
    2. Occasional operation of a vehicle under inclement weather conditions.
    3. May have interaction with an unruly student.
    4. Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull various items up to a maximum of 40 pounds (100 pounds on wheels), e.g., paper boxes, deliveries of supplies and equipment.
    5. Travels to meetings/professional development and work assignments.
