Requirements / Qualifications

• Experience working with hearing impaired students and proficiency in sign language - Valid California Driver's License Must demonstrate Highly Qualified status using the following education requirements • Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent AND any one of the following: - Completion of two (2) years of higher education study (48 semester units or 72 quarter units) - Possession of an Associate's degree or higher degree - Passage of a Fontana Unified School District (FUSD) approved Paraprofessional Exam or possession of an FUSD approved Paraprofessional Certificate. (See www.fusd.net for details) Don't meet any of these three requirements? Don't worry! Once you apply, we will help you qualify through our ESSA/NCLB testing opportunity. - Please read the "Job Description/Essential Elements" to review additional qualifications for this position.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION: - One (1) year of experience working as an instructional aide for deaf and hard-of-hearing students - Sign language degree or certification Proof of certificates, education, etc. will be required upon recommendation for employment.
