The YCS George Washington School in Hackensack is currently hiring a Teacher Aide. GWS is a department of education approved private school for classified students with behavioral, emotional and social challenges. We have been successfully educating students ages 5 - 15, grades K - 9, for over 30 years. We are seeking candidates to work a 11 month school year at our George Washington School (GWS) located in Hackensack, NJ.

Duties Include:

• Assisting school with all aspects of classroom responsibilities and supervision of students during the school day. School hours are 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Mon-Fri. • Providing quality daily care and supervision of students • Assisting with learning centers and any other designated classroom activities with the supervision of the Teacher

Staff will be expected to assist the students' development and trust in adults, through the use of positive reinforcement and praise.

Attend all school in-services and professional development

Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent • Teacher aid experience preferred • 60+ college credits or a Bachelors Degree preferred • Sub Cert preferred
