At Urgent Academy, we’re looking for a passionate, student-centered educator to serve as a Learning Coach-Teacher—someone who thrives at the intersection of education, mentorship, and community impact.


This role goes beyond traditional teaching—it’s an opportunity to:
Coach and mentor students as they navigate interest-driven, project-based learning experiences.
Empower students to discover their passions and develop skills that will prepare them for high school, career pathways, and life.

• FT/PT School day

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and state teaching certification, preferred
• Previous experience teaching at the K-8 level is preferred
• Understanding of youth development principles and best practices in learner-centered education and project based learning (PBL)
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication and technology skills

Urgent Academy, our private career and technical education (CTE) micro middle school, advances learner-centered, interest-driven, project-based learning, introducing students to careers in Film, Arts, Culture, and Entrepreneurship (FACE).
