Salary Range: $48,703- $100,722 per year

Employment Terms: Full-Time, 10-Month

Position Overview: Provides instruction and is responsible for student learning in a particular time period in art education

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging visual arts instruction aligned with curriculum standards for K12 students.
• Foster creativity and artistic skill development through lessons in drawing, painting, sculpture, and other media.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of achievement and growth.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that encourages artistic expression and respect for materials and tools.
• Collaborate with colleagues, participate in school events, and contribute to student exhibitions, displays, and school-wide art programs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) educator certificate with an endorsement in one or more of the following endorsement areas: 042 (PK-12)

Preferred Requirements:

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.
