Treehouse Learning Center is looking for a caring, energetic, and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our team at our 200 Oxford location. In this role, you will support lead teachers in delivering high-quality early education experiences, helping children learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily lesson activities and routines
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate learning activities, play, and meals
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's daily progress
- Support children with special needs and ensure inclusive participation in all activities
- Follow all childcare regulations, licensing requirements, and center policies
- Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, and other personal care needs as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required — ability to communicate with children and families in both languages
- Prior experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting preferred
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Must pass a background check and comply with all state licensing requirements
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
