Job Description:
- Special Education Teacher - Behavior Support Program
Job Requirements:
- The applicant will demonstrate knowledge, skill, and ability to provide specially designed instruction to students with disabilities
- Instruction could be provided individually or in a small group setting
- The candidate is responsible for establishing a classroom atmosphere that facilitates learning while supporting students emotional, and social growth
- The applicant will collaborate with parents, students, and building administrators to develop and implement IEPs utilizing the IDOE Special Programs
- The applicant will have strong oral and written communication skills
- Facilitate with high school staff transitions back into the general education setting when appropriate
Job Qualification:
- Valid Indiana State Teaching License with Mild and/or Intense Intervention for Special Education.
- Must complete and clear all Indiana background check requirements for school personnel.
- Must complete and clear the drug screen.
