Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with school curriculum and standards
- Deliver engaging instruction using a variety of teaching methods
- Assess and monitor student progress
- Provide individualized support to meet diverse student needs
- Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
- Support the mission and values of the school
- Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment
- Report and document behavioral incidents
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of experience
- Experience working with students with unique abilities
- Florida teaching certification (preferred but not always required)
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
