Salary Range: $48,703- $100,722 per year

Employment Terms: Full-Time, 10-Month

Position Overview: Provides instruction and is responsible for student learning during a particular time in chorus/voice

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging vocal and choral instruction that promotes music literacy, vocal technique, artistic expression, and student achievement aligned with curriculum standards.
• Direct school chorus ensembles, prepare students for concerts, performances, and community events, and foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative rehearsal environment.
• Assess student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and differentiate instruction to support learners with diverse abilities and musical experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and school administrators to support student success and contribute to school-wide arts programming and performances.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and engaging classroom environment while managing music resources, equipment, and performance logistics in accordance with district policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) educator certificate with an endorsement in one or more of the following endorsement areas: 049 (PK-12)

Preferred Requirements:

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.
