Position Summary:

Leahy Elementary School is seeking exceptional Elementary Teachers to join our team-individuals who possess a growth mindset, value collaboration and continuous feedback, are passionate about their content, and have an unwavering belief that all students are capable of meeting rigorous academic expectations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement rigorous, curriculum-based lessons aligned to Massachusetts State Frameworks
• Assess student performance and lesson effectiveness using formative, summative, and project-based assessments; review and utilize data to inform instruction, monitor progress, and create measurable academic goals
• Effectively differentiate instruction and supports for students with a wide variety of academic, social, and emotional needs
• Proactively communicate with students' families to establish a partnership in support of student goals and contribute to school-wide efforts to increase and maintain positive family engagement
• Embrace and uphold school-wide systems to ensure consistency in classroom routines, instructional strategies, and behavior expectations
• Engage in regular professional development and coaching with administration and colleagues to improve instruction and overall student experience
• Maintain high expectations for students and create a classroom environment rooted in respect, growth, and achievement
• Perform additional duties as needed and assigned by administration

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Active Massachusetts Teacher Certification with SEI Endorsement
• Proficient in English; Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• Be a team player and a problem solver
• Have strong communication skills
• Be reliable and resilient
• Have experience in urban education
• Recognize and support the academic and social/emotional needs of each child
• Have the ability to create and effectively manage a positive classroom culture
• Be familiar with Restorative Justice Practices and other student-centered social-emotional approaches
• The hired candidate will be working in a self-contained classroom teaching all subject areas

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree Required/ Master's Degree preferred;
• Valid Massachusetts Teaching License in ESL preferred;
• Current Authorization to work in the United States.

Pay Range

• $61,788 - $94,614
