LOCATION: Renaissance PAU Bermudez IS @ Mujeres y Hombres Nobles CCS 1260 Monterey Pass Rd., Monterey Park, CA 91754 THE POSITION: This position requires that the teacher meet virtually -on Microsoft TEAMS with each student one hour per week minimum (Grades 6-12). Teacher will plan and create weekly student contracts for high school students to complete to earn credits towards graduation. Middle School students will be enrolled in grade level courses. The teacher is responsible for teaching all subject areas: Math, Science, English/Language Arts, Social Studies, Health, electives as well as social-emotional skills. Caseload for Independent Studies is 25-30 students. The ideal candidate will work to best prepare At-Promise students and provide opportunities for educational success, including but not limited to credit recovery, high school diploma, trade, career readiness, or college. The selected teacher/s will have skills and experience that engage a diverse student population while embedding many skills beyond the content area. Students at the County Community Schools are challenged to think globally and self-reflect while nurturing communication, presentation, and dynamic group skills. Beyond being an expert in a subject matter, the ideal teacher candidate should effectively utilize various teaching and assessment strategies.
