We are searching for a Science Teacher, Social Studies Teacher, and an English Language Arts (ELA) Bible Teachers to join our team. SCIENCE TEACHER POSITION SUMMARY: The Science Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing science instruction for students in grades 1–12 in accordance with the school's academic standards, educational philosophy, and Christian mission. This position develops and implements age-appropriate science curriculum, laboratory activities, and project-based learning experiences that promote scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. SCIENCE TEACHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop and lead age-appropriate science experiments, labs, and investigations that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application.
- Partner with math, ELA, and social studies teachers to align lesson objectives, integrate thematic units, and scaffold science concepts across grade levels.
- Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs; employ formative and summative assessments to monitor student growth and inform future lessons.
- Create a safe, supportive environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and respect for scientific inquiry.
- Maintain laboratory supplies, technology, and equipment; ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
- Participate in grade-level and school-wide planning meetings; share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide regular updates to students, families, and administrators on student progress, upcoming labs, and science fair opportunities.
- Sponsor or support science clubs, fairs, and competitions to extend learning beyond the classroom.
SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER POSITION SUMMARY: The Social Studies/History Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in social studies and history while integrating a biblical worldview throughout the curriculum. The teacher will inspire students to understand historical events, civic responsibility, geography, economics, and cultural diversity through the lens of Christian values. SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state academic standards and the school's curriculum.
- Teach United States History, World History, Geography, Government, Civics, Economics, and other assigned social studies courses.
- Help students understand historical events, constitutional principles, civic responsibility, and global cultures.
- Develop students' critical thinking, research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Encourage respectful discussion, problem-solving, and informed decision-making.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies, technology, and hands-on learning experiences.
- Assess student learning through quizzes, tests, projects, presentations, and classroom participation.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
- Submit weekly lesson plans and instructional materials
ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS (ELA) & BIBLE TEACHER POSITION SUMMARY: The English Language Arts (ELA) & Bible Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality, Christ-centered instruction that develops students academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. The teacher will create a classroom environment where students grow in reading, writing, speaking, listening, critical thinking, and biblical understanding while integrating a Christian worldview throughout all instruction and serving as a spiritual role model for students ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS (ELA) & BIBLE TEACHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Plan and teach engaging ELA lessons aligned with state standards and school curriculum.
- Teach reading comprehension, literature, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Use assessments to monitor student progress and provide timely intervention.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.
- Maintain accurate grades, attendance, and student records.
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials weekly.
ALL POSITIONS: Bible Instruction: - Teach Bible daily using the school's approved curriculum.
- Lead students in prayer and Scripture reading during the Bible lesson.
- Present biblical truths that encourage Christian character, integrity, compassion, and servant leadership.
- Connect biblical principles to history, citizenship, leadership, and everyday life.
- Encourage students to apply God's Word in their relationships and daily decisions.
Classroom Management: - Establish consistent classroom expectations.
- Create a respectful, welcoming learning environment.
- Use positive behavior supports and restorative practices.
- Teach responsibility, kindness, and self-control.
- Encourage students to resolve conflicts respectfully.
Lesson Planning: - Submit lesson plans at least two months in advance.
- Align instruction with Kentucky Academic Standards and the school's curriculum.
- Plan hands-on, engaging, and age-appropriate activities.
- Include formative and summative assessments.
- Integrate technology when appropriate.
Student Assessment: - Administer classroom assessments.
- Monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate grade records.
- Complete progress reports and report cards on schedule.
- Use assessment data to guide instruction.
- Provide additional support or enrichment as needed.
Homework Expectations: - Assign meaningful homework according to the school's schedule.
- Ensure homework reinforces classroom learning, encourages responsibility, is developmentally appropriate, and is reviewed and discussed promptly.
Parent Communication: - Maintain positive communication with families.
- Respond to parent emails and phone calls within one business day when possible.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences.
- Notify parents of academic or behavioral concerns promptly.
- Celebrate student achievements with families.
School Responsibilities: - Actively participate in Teacher Professional Development, Faculty Meetings, Open House, Parent Orientation, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Spirit Week, Field Day, School Programs and Performances, Chapel Services, Community Outreach Events, and Graduation and Awards Ceremonies.
Supervision Responsibilities: - Supervise students during assigned duties, including morning arrival, hallway transitions, lunch, recess, assemblies, chapel, field trips, dismissal, and emergency drills.
Classroom Environment: - Maintain a clean, organized classroom.
- Create engaging bulletin boards and displays.
- Promote a welcoming environment for all students.
- Ensure classroom materials are organized and cared for.
- Encourage student ownership of the classroom.
Christian Leadership: - Integrate biblical values and a Christian worldview into daily instruction when appropriate.
- Participate in chapel services, school-wide devotions, and spiritual activities.
- Support the mission, vision, and Statement of Faith of Dream Center Academy Christian School.
- Serve as a positive Christian role model for students through words, attitudes, and actions.
Professional Responsibilities: - Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and required training.
- Complete lesson plans, grading, report cards, and required documentation on time.
- Supervise students during assigned duties, including lunch, dismissal, hallways, field trips, chapel, and special events.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters.
Performance Expectations: - Teachers will be evaluated based on student academic growth; classroom management; lesson planning and instructional quality; timely grading and record keeping; parent communication; professionalism and teamwork; participation in school events; biblical integration throughout instruction; and commitment to the mission and vision of Dream Center Academy Christian School.

Education & Certification: - Bachelor's degree in Education, History, Science, ELA 6th - 12th, Social Studies, or a related field (preferred).
- Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification (preferred).
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or willingness to obtain).
Experience: - Demonstrated experience in project-based and inquiry-driven instruction.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT - Ability to sit and work at a desk, computer, and phone for extended periods.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the campus as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (files, office and classroom supplies).
- Primarily indoor office environment, with occasional off-site errands for school purchasing and support at school events.
- Outdoor supervision for activities, student arrival, and student dismissal.
