PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Remain up to date regarding curriculum content. • Plan instruction effectively. • Plan assessment of student learning effectively. • Monitor students understanding of the curriculum effectively and adjust instruction materials or assessments when appropriate. • Create an environment that is positive for student learning and involvement. • Maintain appropriate standards of behavior, mutual respect, and safety. • Make learning goals clear to students. • Use appropriate instruction techniques. • Use appropriate questioning techniques • Evaluate, try innovative approaches, and refine instructional strategies, including the effective use of technologies to increase student learning and confidence in ability to learn. • Communicate learning goals and high standards and expectations to students. • Promote confidence and perseverance in the student, stimulating increased personal student responsibility for achieving the goals of the curriculum. • Strive to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning. • Demonstrate appreciation for and sensitivity to the diversity among individuals. • Be constructive and cooperative in interactions with parents and receptive to their contributions.

REQUIREMENTS
• Salary per years of experience and education level, pursuant to pay schedule within Collective Bargaining Agreement. • Certification valid for service as a teacher in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. • SEI endorsement. • ESL licensure preferred. • Bachelors Degree. • Experience with the appropriate age group.
