POSITION GOAL:
The Middle School Multilingual Learner (MLL) English Language Arts Teacher provides high-quality, standards-aligned instruction that develops students' English language proficiency while advancing grade-level literacy skills. The primary goal of this position is to accelerate multilingual learners' growth in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language through evidence-based instructional practices that integrate language development with rigorous English Language Arts content. The MLL ELA Teacher designs and delivers differentiated instruction aligned with the Delaware English Language Arts Standards, WIDA English Language Development Standards, and district curriculum to ensure equitable access to grade-level learning. Through ongoing assessment, data-driven instructional planning, collaboration with general education teachers and support staff, and meaningful partnerships with families, the teacher fosters an inclusive learning environment that values students' linguistic and cultural assets while preparing them for academic success, language proficiency, and college and career readiness.
