Title: Leave Replacement Music Teacher

Description: One Instrumental Music teacher to work at Fairmount elementary school.

Job Summary:

• Conduct Instrumental Music instruction for elementary age children.
• Organize and implement instrumental music concerts yearly.
• Collaborate with administration and colleagues to schedule instrumental music lessons.

Qualifications:

• Appropriate NJ Teaching Certification
• Possess expertise and experience in instrumental music instruction
• Experience and successful practice working with students and communicating with parents
• Demonstrated the ability to collaborate with colleagues and administrators
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and writing
• Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, students, and parents
• Demonstrate organization and management skills with coordination of programs
• Possess excellent behavior management skills, as well as, be able to discipline children with dignity and respect.
• Possess a love of children and enthusiasm for supporting instructors in implementing high-quality after-school programs.
• Experience and successful practice working with students and communicating with parents

Working Conditions: Fairmount Elementary School - 9/1/2026 through 1/31/2027

Salary: As per the HBOE/HEA Contract
