Position: Teacher of Special Education (Autism) LTS - Intermediate
Pennsauken Public Schools is an urban/suburban Pre-K to 12th grade school district of approximately 5,000 students located in Camden County, New Jersey
Responsibilities:
- Develops lesson plans and prepares for the daily instruction program
- Evaluates student progress and provides progress reports as required
- Strives to maintain professional competence
- Identifies pupil needs in cooperation with other professional staff members and assists in assessing and helping pupils with school related problem
- Enforces school rules, administrative regulations and board policy
- Maintains communication with parents, administrators and other professional staff members in order to best serve the interest of students
- Maintains a safe and orderly work area
- Performs other duties within the scope of employment and certification as assigned by the principal and/or his/her designee
Qualifications:
- Endorsement #2470 Teacher of the Handicap or Endorsement #2475 Teacher of Students with Disabilities w/ Endorsement # 1001 or 1000 New Jersey State Certification REQUIRED
- MUST pass NJ Criminal History Review Unit fingerprinting requirement
- New Jersey State residency requirements for public employees in effect
Terms:
- Salary, terms and conditions of employment as per PEA contract
- Salary Range: $67,055- $94,219
