Nature & Scope of Job: The appointed teacher will be responsible for implementing ABA strategies and programs, including discrete trials.

Qualifications:

Appropriate State of NJ Teacher Certification K-5 and Special Education endorsement

(TOSWD or TOH).

Previous experience working with young children, particularly in an ABA classroom or clinical setting.

Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques, including discrete trial training, naturalistic teaching, and behavior management strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.

Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.

Knowledge of the Essential Elements.

Bilingual/Spanish a plus.

Description:

Develop and implement individualized ABA programs for students with diverse needs and abilities.

Conduct assessments and collect data to track progress and make informed decisions about program adjustments.

Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to student learning and development.

Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and social-emotional growth.

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on strategies for home and school.

Stay up-to-date on best practices and research in ABA and early childhood education to continuously improve teaching methods and outcomes.

Implement ABA curriculum and strategies including discrete trial instruction
