Teacher of the Deaf and Hearing Impaired - Part-Time - 100% Remote - NC License Required

As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a part-time Teacher of the Deaf and Hearing-Impaired to provide virtual services for charter school students in North Carolina. This position is for the upcoming school year. 

Teacher of the Hearing-Impaired Salary: $55-$60 per hour

Teacher of the Hearing-Impaired Position Details:

• Fully remote (work from home)
• 1099 independent contractor role
• Direct service only (no indirect time included in compensation)
• Flexible scheduling based on student needs and availability

Teacher of the Hearing-Impaired Qualifications:

• State License in North Carolina
• School Certification in North Carolina
• Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
• Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain) 

Teacher of the Hearing-Impaired Responsibilities May Include:

• Evaluating and determining appropriate itinerant services based on student needs
• Providing ongoing support to teachers regarding the needs of the D/HOH student
• Recommending and assisting with adaptations for classroom instruction
• Providing direct services with the use of the appropriate mode of communication
• Using assistive technology with student
