Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in supporting children with hearing impairments. This role focuses on providing high-quality education and fostering communication skills in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement tailored educational programmes for students with hearing loss.
- Utilise various teaching methods and materials to enhance learning experiences.
- Collaborate with parents, audiologists, and other professionals to support each student's needs.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Provide individual and group support to facilitate language acquisition and social skills.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with hearing impairments is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
Nice to have
- Experience with hearing technology and assistive devices.
- Knowledge of sign language or other communication methods.
- Familiarity with special educational needs and disabilities legislation.
