Teacher of the Visually Impaired

Ready to use your expertise to help students with visual impairments thrive? Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired to support K–12 students in Bel Air, MD, during the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Overview: 

• Provide itinerant TVI services and consultation to students with visual impairments across K–12 campuses.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and deliver direct instruction in Braille, screen readers, low vision aids, and compensatory skills.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop accommodations and ensure students have access to the curriculum.
• Coordinate with school teams to manage caseload needs, including scheduling, progress updates, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Visual Impairments, or Special Education
• Active Maryland Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Certification
• Prior experience providing direct and consultative services in a school-based or pediatric setting
• Braille proficiency strongly preferred
