Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - 100% Remote - NC License Required

As part of our mission to pave the way for student success nationwide, Therapy Source is currently seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired to provide virtual services to charter school students in North Carolina. This fully remote, 1099 independent contractor opportunity focuses on delivering high-quality direct services to students in a tele-practice setting. This position is for the current school year.

Teacher of the Visually Impaired Salary: $60-$65 per hour

Teacher of the Visually Impaired Position Details:

• Direct services only (no indirect time included in compensation)
• Caseload is case-building and will be based on the number of students assigned by the client
• Fully remote (work from home)
• 1099 independent contractor role
• Flexible scheduling based on student needs and provider availability
   

Teacher of the Visually Impaired Qualifications:

• State License in North Carolina
• School Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in North Carolina
• Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
• Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain) 

Teacher of the Visually Impaired Responsibilities May Include:

• Evaluating and determining appropriate itinerant services based on student needs
• Providing ongoing support to teachers regarding the needs of the student
• Recommending and assisting with adaptations for classroom instruction
• Providing direct services with the use of the appropriate mode of communication
• Using assistive technology with student
