OVERVIEW:
Umbrella Learning Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for all students. This position is responsible for developing and delivering engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to support student success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Curriculum Development and Instruction:

• Plan and implement lessons that align with curriculum standards.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning.

Classroom Management:

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Establish and maintain effective classroom routines and procedures.
• Address and manage student behavior in a fair and consistent manner.

Assessment and Evaluation:

• Assess student performance through formal and informal methods.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records.

Collaboration and Professional Development:

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and parents.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
• Contribute to school-wide initiatives and events.

Student Support:

• Identify and address the individual needs of students.
• Provide additional support and resources for students who require it.
• Foster a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or related field experience
• Experience in teaching at the appropriate grade level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
• Proficiency with educational technology and software.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience with differentiated instruction.
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Full-time position.
• Regular school hours, with occasional evenings or weekends for events or meetings.
• Classroom setting with occasional outdoor activities.
