    Supervises Works with Paraprofessionals/ABA Technicians assigned to the classroom Work Year School year, per Unit A calendar Scheduled Work Day Per the Unit A Collective Bargaining Agreement Position Type Full-time Salary In accordance with the Unit A Contract Evaluation Per the Uxbridge Teachers Association (UTA) Contract POSITION SUMMARY The Uxbridge Public Schools is seeking dynamic educators to join the Preschool team at Taft Early Learning Center. The Taft ELC preschool provides inclusive experiences in integrated preschool classrooms for students ages 3-5 with and without disabilities. This position requires either dual licensure in Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) and Elementary Education, or PK-2 licensure with/without Disabilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide inclusive instruction in integrated preschool classrooms for students ages 3-5, with and without disabilities.

    • Develop and implement student education and behavior plans, including knowledge and practices around preschool curriculum and resources.

    • Write, assess, and report on student goals, benchmarks, and progress.

    • Attend and participate in the Team meeting process, including eligibility, annual, and re-evaluation meetings and IEP development.

    • Provide specialized instruction in primary content areas, including development of modifications and accommodations relevant to student learning.

    • Collaborate with grade-level educators, specialists, and support staff related to students.

    • Communicate with families/caregivers regarding student progress.

    • Conduct assessment/evaluation and standardized testing of students to support the eligibility evaluation process.

    • Participate in the evaluation process, and collaborate on evaluations with Early Intervention, private preschools, and agency programs.

    • Plan and provide direct instruction in both the inclusion classroom setting and in small group/individual settings per each student''s IEP.

    • Assess student learning, monitor students'' understanding of the general education curriculum, and adjust instruction appropriately.

    • Consult and collaborate with general education staff and specialists on student learning styles, differentiated instruction, curricula modifications, and teaching materials appropriate for students with a range of learning needs and abilities.

    • Align academic instruction to general education classroom expectations.

    • Develop IEP goals and objectives consistent with student IEPs and complete related documentation and paperwork in a timely manner.

    • Ensure compliance with IEP development and implementation throughout all aspects of the special education process, in accordance with federal and state regulations.

    • Facilitate annual review and progress update Team meetings, as needed.

    • Administer and interpret formal and informal educational assessments and prepare written evaluation reports, as needed.

    • Collect and analyze student work samples and related data to monitor progress and identify skill gaps.

    • Collaborate with and provide guidance / direction to paraprofessionals/ABA Technicians.

    • Maintain consistent communication with parents.

    • Provide support for paraeducators assigned to classroom support or student support.

    • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Building Principal or Director of Pupil Services. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Massachusetts DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8) and Elementary Education, or PK-2 with/without Disabilities licensure (dual licensure preferred).

    • Bachelor''s degree required.

    • Experience developing and implementing student education and behavior plans in a preschool setting.

    • Working knowledge of preschool curriculum, IEP development, and the special education Team process.

    • Experience with standardized assessment/evaluation and the arena evaluation process, including collaboration with Early Intervention and outside providers.

    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, specialists, and paraprofessionals.

    • Strong communication skills for working with families/caregivers regarding student progress.

    • Citizenship, residency, or valid work visa required. WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Must be able to provide direct instruction and support to young children in inclusive classroom, small-group, and individual settings.

    • Frequent use of hands to operate instructional materials, technology, and manipulatives throughout the school day.

    • Ability to lift, move, and position curriculum materials and classroom equipment (up to 30 lbs.).

    • Must be able to work effectively in dynamic, higher-noise early childhood classroom environments.

    • Must be able to assist in the protection of students and school property, and assist with fire and other emergency drills as required by law and School Committee policy.
