The Science Teacher is responsible for coaching, motivating, and instructing high school students, focusing on individual graduation plans and mastery-based credit accumulation.
- Provide a student-centered, accountable learning environment aligned with academic goals.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of the reading process and effective teaching and intervention techniques.
- Maintain and analyze student progress data and reports as required.
- Collaborate with peers to develop tailored educational practices.
- Participate in professional development to maintain certification.
- Assist in meeting enrollment and attendance goals.
- Perform other duties aligned with company policies to achieve educational objectives.
Knowledge of secondary education principles, curriculum, data analysis, and effective communication is required.
Education includes a Bachelor's degree, teacher certification or eligibility in Biology or Middle Grades Science and Chemistry, and at least one year of high school teaching experience. Prior experience with at-risk youth is preferred.
