Teacher-Science Long-Term Substitute

North Reading Middle School is seeking a long-term substitute Science Teacher tentatively from September 1, 2026 through October 30, 2026. North Reading Public School Educators first contractual day is September 1, 2026.

Essential duties

• Unit/lesson planning
• Direct instruction of students
• Assessment of student learning
• Be available to conference with parents/guardians and families as needed or requested
• Collaborate with grade level and content teams to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained
• Other duties as requested by the Building Principal, Assistant Principal, and/or Designee

Requirements

• Bachelor''s Degree in a related field
• Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in Science, grades 5-8
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Collaborative working demeanor
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
