PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide academic instruction at grade level and intensive social skills instruction tostudents assigned to specialized programs within the District.Facilitates mainstreaming practices for students who have reached the appropriatebehavioral level.Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to effective learning, behavior andsocial skills objectives.Ensures that the program-wide, Intensive Classroom Management system is implementedwith fidelity.Ability and willingness to work with children with significant social emotional deficits andaggressive behaviors.Implements evidence based practices based on BCSD approved Intensive ClassroomManagement Programs. Including the use of Planned Teaching, Effective Praise, CorrectiveTeaching, De-escalation and Contingency Based Reinforcement.Facilitated the acquisition of social/emotional skills for identified students. Ensure thatsocial curriculum is taught daily based on district provided curriculum.Facilitates student goal setting and self-efficacy to develop motivation for learning.Participates in the school Professional Learning Communities as assigned by site administration.Develop lesson plans by grade level.Collect, log and graph behavior data on a daily basisMonitor, direct and provide schedules for Paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom.Develops and maintains a system of student data keeping related to the program.Communicates with parents through conferences, IEP's, and other means to discuss the student'sacademic and behavioral progress.Confers with students, parents, teachers and other staff as needed.Participates in District, county and state meetings and trainings as needed or directed by site administration.Performs other duties as assigned SALARY: $64,399 - $130,149 annually (185 Day) (Max. salary includes educational and credential stipends) EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the District's "Improvement of Professional Services" handbook, Board Policies and Procedures and consistent with collective bargaining agreements when applicable.
