QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a valid Alabama Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education with a Spanish Endorsement OR eligible for an Provisional alternative Certificate with an Academic Major in Spanish OR 32 semester hours in Spanish with 19 semester hours of upper level i.e. 300 & 400 courses OR passing scores on the Spanish Praxis II Code5195.
Spanish speaking applicants must have their college transcript evaluated by one of six companies that evaluate college degrees issued in countries other than the United States.

Applicants selected for certified positions must have undergone an ABIFBI criminal history background check fingerprinting administered through sites selected and approved by the MCPSS and State of Alabama Education Department and been declared suitable and fit to teach under state law. Applicants selected must also pass a drug-screening test via forms provided by Human Resources during the selection process.
