About the Role:

As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

• Provide specially designed instruction in academics, based on their IEP goals, to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Provide specially designed instruction in developing executive functioning, emotional regulation, and goal-setting skills to enhance their academic and behavioral success.
• Co-Plan and Co-Teach with general education teachers, ensuring all students have access to rigorous and meaningful instruction.
• Utilize Gradual Release of Responsibility and AVID strategies to help close achievement gaps.
• Consistently implement the Butler Way through PBIS rewards and hold students accountable with consistent application with consistent application of the Behavior Flowchart.
• Use data-driven decision-making to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Communicate regularly with students and their families on your caseload.
• Collaborate with families, grade-level teams, and student services staff to foster student growth in both academic and social-emotional skills.
