Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support student development
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment for all learners
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and milestones
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support curriculum goals
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student development
• Implement classroom management strategies to promote a productive learning atmosphere

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred
• Prior experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass a background check in accordance with Virginia state requirements
