Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support student development
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment for all learners
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student growth and milestones
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to support curriculum goals
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student development
- Implement classroom management strategies to promote a productive learning atmosphere
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred
- Prior experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass a background check in accordance with Virginia state requirements
