Teachers for BHS Credit Recovery & Enrichment Program

Teachers for Brockton High School Credit Recovery & Enrichment Program Job Description: Teachers in the Brockton High School After School Program will provide support to Brockton High School students who need additional literacy support, compensatory services, academic enrichment, MCAS practice, or recovery of credits for promotion or graduation. Teachers will provide individualized support to identified students on their caseload, and will work collaboratively with guidance counselors, re-engagement coaches, and instructors/supervisors to support students. Teachers will also be available to support students from ASPIRE and Edison Academy. There will be two sessions - one targeted toward BHS students, and a second targeted toward ASPIRE and Edison students. Content areas needed: ELA, Math, Science, Social Science, MSN, ESL/Bilingual, CTE, CML, Health/Wellness/PE Qualifications: Massachusetts Teaching license Experience working with high school students Experience working with students on IEPs or with 504s and multilingual learners Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with course instructors and supervisors to support students in each content area
• Follow each department's curriculum course guidelines.
• Support the implementation of lesson plans and assessments that are aligned to state standards and responsive to the needs of Brockton High School students.
• Work with guidance counselor and supervisor to develop and implement course curriculum with supports.
• Maintain attendance and course data.

Reports to: Academic Associate Principals and BHS Principal Program Hours: 2:20pm - 3:50pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays (Session 1) and/or 4:00 - 7:00pm Monday - Thursdays (Session 2, for ASPIRE and Edison students)
