JOB TITLE: Academic Interventionist

CERTIFICATION: Elementary Teacher certification preferred

JOB LOCATION: Botelle Elementary School

BEGINNING: August 31, 2026

DEADLINE: open until filled

DISTRICT: Norfolk Public Schools

DESCRIPTION:

The Academic Interventionist supports student learning in classrooms and in small groups. The hours are 8:15-3:15, M-F. The hourly rate is $30 benefits include individual health insurane.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Certification in Elementary Education - preferred
• Successful teaching experience
• Skilled in data collection and analysis
• Experience collaborating with colleagues on the SRBI process
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; organizational and time management skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support students in classrooms
• Instruct small groups and individual students in literacy and math
• Monitor student progress and analyze data
• Collaborate with teachers throughout the SRBI process
• Communicate with staff and families about student progress
• Other duties as assigned by the principal or academic specialists
