About the Role:
Join Kidtastic Kids Preschool as a Teaching Assistant where you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs. The Teaching Assistant works collaboratively with the Special Education Teacher and/or General Education Teacher to implement instructional activities, support student learning, and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.and play a vital role in shaping young minds! We are seeking passionate individuals to support our educational programs in a fun and engaging environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Help maintain classroom organization and manage student behaviour.
- Prepare instructional materials and resources for daily lessons.
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents.
- Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom discussions.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Assist in the planning and execution of special events and projects.
- Communicate observations and concerns to the classroom teacher and supervisory staff
- Follow all program policies, confidentiality requirements, and licensing regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in education preferred.
- NYS Teaching Assistant Certification
- Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for education.
- Basic knowledge of child development and learning styles.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and training as required.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate various teaching needs.
