Role Description This part-time Teaching Assistant role is an on-site position located in Pelham, NY. The Teaching Assistant supports lead teachers in maintaining a calm, organized, and engaging classroom that aligns with Montessori practices. Daily responsibilities include helping set up learning materials, guiding children through activities, reinforcing classroom routines, and supervising students during work cycles, transitions, and outdoor play. The role involves offering individual and small-group support, observing student progress, assisting with classroom cleanliness and safety, and collaborating with the teaching team. The Teaching Assistant also communicates respectfully with students, colleagues, and families while upholding school policies and Montessori values.
