We are now seeking a full time operationally savvy & customer focused Floor Lead/Team Captain to join our team at our cafe in Rittenhouse Square at
1701 Locust St. Philadelphia, PA 19103.
The Team Captain is second in command and acts as the General Manager in absence of the GM. On busy days especially, this role will be the first point of contact for any local coming into our cafes, so the tone is set with you!
Please note Bluestone Lane will require COVID vaccination for all teammates. All applicants must already be vaccinated prior to submitting an application. Individuals may request exemption from the vaccine requirement for medical or religious reasons.
What you'll do:
- Provide a high level of hospitality to every local by delivering on the Bluestone Lane Steps of Service in every interaction
- Ensure that teammates are in the right place, doing the right things at the right time, in order to make the local feel special 100% of the time
- Enforces the quality and speed of the back of house performance and the connection our front of house provides to each local when they experience our cafe
- Assist the General Manager (GM) in building a cohesive, efficient and stable team
- Become fully trained to fulfill locals' orders in any teammate role - comfortable working in the kitchen and can pick up any other role be it barista, server, concierge or runner.
- Have a keen awareness of the store's financial performance, & help drive the efficiency and hospitality in the cafe to maximize and meet sales targets & average customer spend
- Hold strictly to current health & safety standards set in place by Bluestone Lane & your state's Department of Health
