Team Lead - 1st Shift

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | 5:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Location: Dubuque, IA (Onsite) | 5 Days per Week

Position Overview

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Team Lead to oversee daily production operations and support a high-performing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring production goals and customer commitments are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead production employees on a daily basis
• Promote a culture focused on Safety, Quality, and Delivery
• Collaborate with management to establish and execute production schedules
• Ensure production targets and customer delivery requirements are achieved
• Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members
• Monitor performance and hold employees accountable to established expectations
• Address workplace issues and resolve conflicts effectively
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and regulations
• Coordinate staffing needs, overtime assignments, and daily work priorities
• Assist with equipment, maintenance, and operational planning

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work-related experience
• Prior leadership or team lead experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate, develop, and lead diverse teams
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Experience managing employee performance and accountability
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and workplace safety requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as production demands require

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives
• Production planning and scheduling experience
• Employee training and development experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Additional Information

• Fully onsite position
• Overtime may be required based on production demands
• Metatarsal safety boots are required on the first day
• Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future for this position
