The Production Team Lead 2nd or 3rd shift coordinates daily manufacturing floor operations and acts as a peer mentor to the production team. This role focuses on executing the daily production schedule while championing safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency on the line, without holding direct management authority or direct reports. Coordinates daily operations across manual and automated assembly lines, machining centers (including drilling, tapping, and milling), and injection molding processes

To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:

• Leads and guides daily activities for assigned line workers and peers.
• Ensure team goals and deadlines are met.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through counts and audits.
• Ensure bin counts and label counts are accurate and pallets of finished goods have correct placard on pallet.
• Onboards and trains team members on standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols.
• Models and reinforces workplace standards such as 5S, lean principles, and quality metrics.
• Supports cross-training initiatives to help build a flexible, multi-skilled floor team.
• Monitors workflow steps and equipment operation to ensure steady line balance and output.
• Escalates production delays, process interruptions, or resource shortages to management without delay.
• Tracks daily line performance against established KPIs and reports results to management.
• Performs hands-on production support when necessary, including operating equipment or moving components.
• Work closely with material handlers to ensure parts are received from warehouse, staged for work orders, and finished goods are removed.
• Fosters cooperation and open communication among team members on the floor.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Skills and experience to thrive in this role:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; prior experience coaching or guiding peers is preferred.
• Strong understanding of manual assembly, mechanical treatment, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable troubleshooting and problem- solving abilities.
• Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of manual and automated assembly, machining equipment (drill presses, mills, taps), and injection molding machinery.

• Competitive hourly rate salary: $20-25 (commensurate with experience)
• Saturday to Wednesday 2:00 - 10:00 pm or Tuesday to Sunday10:00 pm to 6am
