Team Leader, Trauma Registrar (Remote Eligible)

Are you passionate about healthcare quality, data accuracy, and making a difference in patient outcomes? Join WakeMed as a Team Leader, Trauma Registrar and play a vital role in supporting one of the region's leading trauma programs.

In this position, you will work closely with the Trauma Services team to ensure the ongoing success and integrity of the WakeMed Trauma Registry. You will lead and support a team of trauma registrars while overseeing the collection, management, and reporting of trauma data that helps improve patient care and supports trauma center verification and designation requirements.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, and support a team of Trauma Registrars.
• Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of the WakeMed Trauma Registry database.
• Ensure accurate and timely trauma data collection, entry, and reporting.
• Manage participation in the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP).
• Monitor compliance with local, state, and ACS trauma registry standards and requirements.
• Collaborate with Trauma Services leadership and clinical teams to support quality improvement initiatives.
• Help maintain the organization's trauma center designation and ACS verification status through ongoing registry compliance and data integrity.
