We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor for an opportunity at our White Pine Operation in Dixfield Maine. We are looking for a safety oriented, energetic individual to lead our sawmill mechanical maintenance team.

Qualifications:

  • Education Preferred: Mechanical Engineering or 5 years relevant industrial maintenance experience.
  • Years of Experience Preferred: 2+ years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • A strong commitment to safety and an understanding to behavior-based safety programs.
  • Understanding & Experience in Process Improvement is an asset.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and career development.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a multidisciplinary environment, with a high level of detail.
  • Organizational, prioritizing and time management skills.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in safety, quality, cost, and employee engagement to the maintenance team.
  • Supervise maintenance team of millwrights while working closely with other supervisors and managers.
  • Meeting established production specifications, schedules and quality standards.
  • Analyze production and maintenance trends to identify problems in order to recommend solutions to improve performance of machine centers.
  • Support and ensure preventive maintenance program is on track.
  • Perform all other related tasks that will help drive both the maintenance department and overall success of the mill.
  • Prioritize maintenance repairs and modifications.
