Job Overview

This position has the responsibility of performing Diagnostic and Fluoroscopy studies and serving as an operational leader in supervising staff and department activities.

Job Duties

Schedules patients as necessary. Responds to emergency callback when required. Provides input and direction for new equipment purchases. Assists in the maintenance of the P&P manual. Helps create P&P's when necessary. Participates in interviewing and hiring of new employees and student aides. Participates on hospital committees and attends meetings as required. Participates in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives. Coordinates equipment repair and maintenance to reduce downtime and overtime for repair. Supervision includes radiologic technologists, radiography students, and aides. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Technical/Professional Credentials

Must be a graduate of a recognized Radiologic Technologist Program Minimum of three years of relevant experience as a registered Radiologic Technologist Licensed by the State Department of Health as a Radiologic Technologist (in the state in which they are working), certified by the ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist, and maintain annual renewal/registration with the certifying organization. (required) License renewal must occur within 2 weeks of expiration date. (required) Revocation or inability to maintain licensure and/or registration may result in termination.
